China's Trade Ministry Spokeswoman on Sino-Japanese Trainee Cooperation

China is concerned about Japan's detention of representatives of the Chinese training agency in Japan and repatriating Chinese trainees, said Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation spokeswoman Gao Yan here Friday.

China is concerned about Japan's detention of representatives of the Chinese training agency in Japan and repatriating Chinese trainees, said Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation spokeswoman Gao Yan here Friday.

Gao expressed China's concern over the blockade by immigration bureaus of Japan's Ministry of Justice and Tokyo municipality on relevant visa and postponement procedures involving Chinese-fundedorganization representatives and Chinese trainees in Japan.

"As an important part of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, Sino-Japanese trainee cooperation benefits both Chinaand Japan," she said, expressing the wish that the two governmentsresolve problems through negotiations.

"The unilateral actions taken by the Japanese government do nothelp solve the problem properly," she said.
