Michael Owen and Paul Scholes recovered fast and will be fit for the crucial quarterfinal match against Brazil on Friday.

Owen suffered a groin injury in the first half against Denmark.He missed training on Monday and Tuesday but coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said he was optimistic that he would be fit before Friday's match.

"We think Owen, Scholes and Vassell will all be OK for Friday,"said Eriksson. "I know England have been waiting since 1966 to win the World Cup again. I have been waiting all my life," he said.
