Over 10,000 Vietnamese Children Adopted By Foreigners

More than 10,000 Vietnamese childrenhave been adopted by foreigners over the past six years, according to the Ministry of Justice and the National Committee for Child Protection and Care of Vietnam.

More than 10,000 Vietnamese childrenhave been adopted by foreigners over the past six years, according to the Ministry of Justice and the National Committee for Child Protection and Care of Vietnam.

As many as 3,856 babies have been brought to their new homes byFrench adoptive parents, followed by those from the United States,Belgium, Canada, Sweden and Denmark, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Many foreign adoptive parents have regularly informed the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice or local administrations of their adopted children's health and growth. Recently, the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark organized a quiz about Vietnamese land and culture for families who have adopted Vietnamese children.
