Kim Dae-jung's 2d Son Summoned in Bribe Inquiry
Kim Hong-up, the president's second son, has been summoned to appear at the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office at 3 p.m. Wednesday, the agency's Department of Central Investigation announced Monday.

Kim Hong-up's lawyer, Yoo Jae-in, said the president's son denies that he received money illegally and wants to establish his innocence at the prosecutors office as soon as possible. "Mr. Kim will answer a summons for sure," Mr. Yoo said.
Prosecutors say they have evidence that Mr. Kim received 2 billion won ($1.7 million) for helping his donors secure public business. If so, an indictment would seem certain.

Prosecutors said they might seek a detention warrant charging Mr. Kim with accepting a bribe and corrupt use of influence by the end of the week. In that case, it is considered likely that President Kim would make another public apology, as he did when his third son, Kim Hong-gul was detained last month.
