FIFA President Sepp Blatter on Saturday expressed satisfaction at organizers' efforts in the 2002World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
"I do not see any big problem in co-hosting. It has not affected the quality of the games. The quality of football is excellent," he said at a daily briefing at the Main Press Center in Seoul.
Blatter also thanked the national football associations and local World Cup organizing committee of Korea and Japan for the "wonderful organization" and "absolute, perfect logistics" they accomplished under mutual cooperation.
Blatter pointed out the first-round matches were often very tight in this World Cup and "there are no more weak team."
"Most of the matches were played in top level, and all matches were played in good spirit," Blatter said.
The chief of world soccer's governing body said he was glad to see South Korea and Japan, the co-hosts, qualify for the second round on merit by showing a very high level of technique and tactics.
"They prepared months and months for the games, for Asia and for the world, it's so important that they won their groups and remain in competition," Blatter said.
