Beijing to Manufacture 2,000 Hyundai Autos
Beijing plans to manufacture 2,000 Hyundai autos before the end of this year, said Beijing Mayor Liu Qi on Monday when meeting with Paik Byung Jae, vice presidentof the Hyundai Motor Group of the Republic of Korea.

Liu said that the on-going Beijing Auto exhibition had triggered Beijing residents' interests in private autos, which also indicated that Beijing had great potential as an auto buyers' market.
He said that the Beijing Municipal Government attaches importance to strategic cooperation with the Hyundai Group. The new joint venture -- the Beijing Hyundai Motor Company - is under construction and China would send its best staff to the joint venture.
Paik said that Hyundai wished to enlarge its market share in China.
