Seven Killed in Indian Firing Along LoC in Kashmir

Seven innocent civilians were killed and 13 others including four women injured during the last 12 hours as Indian troops fired indiscriminately and shelled from across the Line of Control in Kashmir, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP)reported on Saturday.

Seven innocent civilians were killed and 13 others including four women injured during the last 12 hours as Indian troops fired indiscriminately and shelled from across the Line of Control in Kashmir, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP)reported on Saturday.

The Indian troops targeted civilian population in villages and used mortars, field and medium artillery and other automatic weapons, the APP said.

Civilian property was also badly damaged due to Indian shelling and firing at various places.

Pakistani troops immediately and effectively responded and targeted the Indian troops' positions.

It is estimated that 10 Indian Army officers were killed while more than 11 bunkers damaged. Two gun positions of the Indian troops were also destroyed, said the Pakistani news agency.
