Spanish PM Happy Over World Cup Victory of Nat'l Team
Spanish Prime Minister Jose M. Aznar Friday said "I'm very happy" for the victory of Spain in the Korea-Japan 2002 match against Paraguay, and the direct qualification of the Iberian team to the second phase of the tournament.

Evidently satisfied, after meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, Aznar pointed "it will be the first time we Spaniards will be able to play the last first round match in World Cup in total calm".
On the other hand, Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso told a joint press conference that followed his meeting with Aznar - in preparation to the European Summit of Seville - that "we congratulate Spain for its direct qualification" and looked forward at the Portuguese national team be successful in its coming matches.
President Aznar told the press with a smile: "Naturally, duringour lunch, the Prime Minister and I commented on the World Cup results. We're normal people".
