French Petit and Henry Banned from Denmark Match

FIFA announced on Friday that France's Emmanuel Petit and Thierry Henry will be suspended from appearing in the team's last Group A match against Denmark on June 11 as part of disciplinary measures against the players.

FIFA announced on Friday that France's Emmanuel Petit and Thierry Henry will be suspended from appearing in the team's last Group A match against Denmark on June 11 as part of disciplinary measures against the players.

Striker Thierry Henry was sent off the pitch for a dangerous tackle during Thursday's match against Uruguay in Busan, while midfielder Petit received a yellow card in a second consecutive match following one in the France-Senegal match on May 31.

FIFA also suspended Senegal's midfielder Salif Diao for the team's last group match against Uruguay, scheduled for Tuesday in Suwon. Diao was given a red card during Senegal's second first-round match against Denmark Thursday.
