Hong Kong Police Seize 1 Million HK Dollar Drugs
Police of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) seized about 1 million Hong Kong dollars (US$128,205 dollars) worth of suspected dangerous drugs in an anti-drugs operation early Tuesday morning.

Following extensive investigations, the police's Eastern District Special Duty Squad officers laid an ambush on Cha Kwo Ling Road in Yau Tong district in Kowloon area Monday night.
Shortly after 12:15 a.m. (Beijing time) Tuesday morning, a 29-year-old man was intercepted while he was leaving a flat on the fifth floor of a residential building at 137 Cha Kwo Ling Road. A small quantity of suspected No.4 heroin was found in his possession.
A subsequent search in the flat led to a further seizure of about 2,968 grams of suspected No.4 heroin and 1,400 tablets of suspected Triazol.
Police said the haul could fetch about 1 million HK dollars in the retail market.
Some packaging equipment was also found inside the unit. Police said they believed that the unit was a packaging center, and the suspect was one of the members of a drug trafficking syndicate.
The man, arrested for trafficking in dangerous drugs, is detained for further investigation.
