Ma Mingyu, captain of the Chinese team which will make its debut at World Cup finals, said the match between China and Costa Rica Tuesday in Gwangju will be 50-50.

Ma said the Costa Rican team is technically better while the Chinese team is faster and enjoys physical advantage.

Ma Mingyu denied that a large Chinese crowd on the stand would pose any psychological pressure on the Chinese team: "I'm really happy to hear that maybe more than 20,000 fans are coming tomorrow.

I hope we can repay them for their support to the best of our ability."
