Turkish coach Senol Gunes expressed optimism on Sunday about his side's World Cup opener against favorites Brazil Monday in Ulsan.

"Any score we can get from the Brazil match will not be a surprise. There is no undefeatable team in the World Cup," Gunes told a press conference, indicating his squad's strong will to pull off a upset over the four-time World Cup champions.

"On the papers Brazil is the favorite but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will win," he added.

He also said he will decide whether he will deploy injured midfielder Okan Buruk to their Group C match against Brazil.

Turkey also take on Costa Rica on June 9 in Incheon and China on June 13 in Seoul.
