Senior CPC Official Meets Diplomatic Envoys of Four African Nations
Wei Jianxing, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), had separate meetings here Tuesday with diplomatic envoys from Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Wei, also member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said that although China and Africa are afar with the other in term of geographical distance, the two sides boast deep friendship and broad cooperative prospects. He hoped his upcoming Africa visit would further enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides and promote the healthy, stable, comprehensive and lasting growth of Sino-African friendly and cooperative ties.
Wei also expressed appreciation for and gratitude to the efforts made by diplomats for promoting the exchanges and cooperation between China and their relevant countries.
Those present at the meeting included Cote d'Ivoire Ambassador Konan Kramo, Gabonese Ambassador Joseph Obiang-Ndoutoume, BotswanaAmbassador Alfred Majaye Dube and Zimbabwean Charge d'Affaires Emmanuel Zinyuke. They extended their welcome to Wei's visit and wished the tour a complete success.
Wei is to visit the above-mentioned four countries and Seychelles from early June.
