Chinese midfielder
Li Xiaopeng
said Tuesday in Ulsan, South Korea that he was not under any pressure because his team has nothing to lose at the World Cup finals.
"We don't have any pressure on our shoulders because we have nothing to lose at the finals. Actually, I think we will win a lotby competing in the tournament," said Li, who plays on right wing.
Li, who comes from
Shandong
Luneng club of China, showed his talent and vigor during the qualifiers to replace veteran right winger Li Ming in the starting list.
"To play at the World Cup finals gives us chance to get connection with oversea clubs," Li added. Most analysis say oversea players are the key reason for China to qualify for the finals round.
China will face
Costa Rica
at its Group C match on June 4. "Everyone wants to start on the opening match against Costa Rica," Li said.
"We are staying in a quite city here in Sogwipo. We don't feel much fever about the World Cup to go on here. But it's fine, it's good to us. We could concentrate on training and get relaxed and good rest."
