Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) has given a name list of Chinese mainland victims in Saturday's air crash to its mainland counterpart the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait.
In a letter to the association, the foundation reiterated its goodwill to help families of the mainland victims come to Taiwan if they wish, according to reports from Taipei Sunday.
According to the SEF's list, the nine mainland passengers, eight women and one man, are: Lin Shaoqing, Li Hong, Han Yinyan, Pan Hongnian, Wang Fangmei, Ren Jingjing, Cai Xirong, Deng Huaping and Ye Wuming.
The SEF said mainland families who wish to visit Taiwan should have their identification cards and valid travel documents issued by their local police with them.
Some family members of the mainland victims went to Taipei Sunday morning by China Airlines' Flight CI-602, according to the office of China Airlines in Hong Kong. But the office refused to tell the number of these family members.
China Airlines Flight CI-611, carrying 225 passengers, experienced an inflight break-up and broke into four pieces above 30,000 feet (9,100 meters) shortly after it took off from Taipei.
Seventy-eight bodies have been retrieved but there is little hope to find any survivors.
