Chinese Goalkeeper Coach Diagnosed with Hepatitis

Chinese national team goalkeeper coach Xu Tao won't make it to the South Korea-Japan World Cup finals because he has been diagnosed with Hepatitis-A, team spokesman Dong Hua confirmed on Friday.

Chinese national team goalkeeper coach Xu Tao won't make it to the South Korea-Japan World Cup finals because he has been diagnosed with Hepatitis-A, team spokesman Dong Hua confirmed on Friday.

Xu, who trains international goalkeepers Jiang Jin, An Qi and Ou Chuliang, was sent to his home city Chongqing from Shanghai on Thursday.

Chinese team officials kept Xu's disease secret to Jiang Jin and An Qi, who were asked to take medical checks late Thursday which turned out negative.
