Vice-Premier Qian Qichen Meets Cypriot Parliamentary Leader

Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen said in Beijing on Wednesday that promoting friendship between China and Cyprus would serve the interests of both countries.

Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen said in Beijing on Wednesday that promoting friendship between China and Cyprus would serve the interests of both countries.

Qian made the remarks during a meeting with President of the Cyprus House of Representatives Dimitris Christofias, who is visiting China.

Christofias briefed Qian on Cyprus' domestic situation and foreign policies. He stressed that it was the policy of the Cypriot government to strengthen friendly relations with China.
