Indian PM Arrives in Srinagar, Indian-Controlled Kashmir
Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee arrived in Srinagar, capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir Wednesday on the second leg of his three-day visit to the Kashmir valley amidst unprecedented security.

Vajpayee, who arrived from Jammu, is scheduled to address over 1,000-strong troops at Kupwara, near the Line of Control, according to the Press Trust of India.
During his hour-long program, the prime minister is also likely to join the security personnel at a lunch organized on the occasion.
Police checkposts have been set up at every 500 meters and patrolling intensified on the inner roads of Srinagar city and along the routes Vajpayee is expected to take, a senior police official said.
Vajpayee will chair a meeting of the unified command Thursday, where he will be joined by Home Minister L.K. Advani.
