Vice-Premier Meets Greek Minister on Cultural Exchange Expansion
Visiting Chinese Vice-Premier Li lanqing and Greek Minister of Development Akis Tsohatzopoulos agreed on Monday that the two countries will explore ways to further expand culture exchange.
Visiting Chinese Vice-Premier Li lanqing and Greek Minister of Development Akis Tsohatzopoulos agreed on Monday that the two countries will explore ways to further expand culture exchange.
In a joint press briefing following their talks at the headquarters of the Ministry of Development, Li said that China attaches great importance to developing its relations with Greece, adding that both sides are discussing the possibilities of creating a mixed committee on culture exchange and development.
The committee is aimed at expanding cooperation between the two countries and pushing forward their good relations to a new stage.
Li said that Greece is a new tourist destination for Chinese nationals, adding that it would help boost cooperation of tourism in both two countries.
For his part, Tsohatzopoulos said that his country attaches importance to developing relations with China and expressed the hope that the existing friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries will be consolidated and expanded.
