CPPCC Chairman Arrives in Slovenia
Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), arrived in Ljubjana Sunday for a three-day official goodwill visit to Slovenia.
Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), arrived in Ljubjana Sunday for a three-day official goodwill visit to Slovenia.
Li, who flew in from the Bulgarian capital of Sofia, was received by Borut Pahor, chairman of the Slovenian National Assembly, and Xu Jian, Chinese ambassador to Slovenia.
In his arrival statement, Li said that his visit is aimed at promoting mutual understanding and trust, consolidating traditional friendship and boosting cooperation and exchanges between China and Slovenia.
The visit coincides with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic links between the two countries.
Slovenia is the second stop of Li's four-nation Europe tour, which also takes in Ukraine and Britain.
