Chinese Vice-Premier Leaves for Greece, Italy, Singapore

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing left here Friday night for his official visit to Greece, Italy and Singapore.

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing left here Friday night for his official visit to Greece, Italy and Singapore.

Li has been invited respectively by Akis Tsohatzopoulos, minister of development of Greece, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Gianfranco Fini, and Lee Hsien Loong, deputy prime minister of Singapore.

During his visit to Singapore, Li Lanqing and Lee Hsien Loong will co-preside over the sixth meeting of a joint council of the Chinese and Singaporean governments to coordinate the management of Suzhou Industrial Zone, a cooperative project set up by the two countries in east China's scenic Suzhou City.

State Councilor Luo Gan, other senior Chinese officials and ambassadors of the three countries saw Li and his entourage off atthe Great Hall of the People.
