Rosenbluth International, one of the world's leading business-to-business travel companies, and China Comfort, one of China's top travel agencies, announced Thursday that their joint venture is now open for business.

The new company, Rosenbluth-Comfort Business Travel Service Company, will tap the booming business travel market and explore new business opportunities in China.

"With China's entry into the World Trade Organization and economic globalization, more and more Chinese companies are entering the world market. More Chinese entrepreneurs will also go overseas to do business with their foreign counterparts and vice versa. This will bring tremendous opportunities for business travel management and services," said Duan Qiang, chairman of China Comfort.

Rosenbluth-Comfort will leverage the strength of the two companies to introduce brand new concepts and travel-related technologies to this new emerging market, he added.

"Rosenbluth-Comfort will provide unparalleled and specially tailored services to our clients in China by integrating resources and lowering costs. The combination of Rosenbluth's worldwide presence in more than 50 countries and China Comfort's national network will ensure the ongoing support for this new venture," said Hal Rosenbluth, chairman and chief executive officer of Rosenbluth International.

With a 110-year history, Rosenbluth keeps the focus on travel management. In China, the joint-venture company will target state- owned enterprises as well as public and multinational companies.

According to statistics from the World Tourism Organization, business travel expenditure in China exceeded 10 billion U.S. dollars each year.
