Soccer: Brazil Launches World Cup Guide for Brazilian Fans
The Brazil government launched the Korea-Japan 2002 World Cup Official Guide for the Brazilian Fan, as part of its information promotions on the soccerevent for the local fans, according to diplomatic sources Wednesday in Rio de Janeiro.

The Brazilian Foreign Ministry launched the Official Guide, already available by Internet and will be distributed in airports,airline offices and hotels where Brazilians are lodged, as part ofinformation offerings to assist its tourists abroad.
In addition to the booklet, Brazilian fans will be able to obtain information in consular offices set by their governemnt in Japan and South Korea.
Initially, 5,000 such booklets, with essential information for the Brazilian tourist, will be available.
The head of the Consular Assistance Division of the Foreign Ministry, Paulo Tarrisse da Fontoura, pointed out that it is estimated some 7,000 Brazilian fans would be in Japan for the World Cup.
"Some of the key issues in the guide make reference on the ban to the use of masks, whitsles, firecrackers and alcohol inside stadiums; in addition to other objects that could pose hazard to the public, namely cans, bottles, glasses and flag-poles," he explained.
