At least 15 israelis were killed and dozens wounded Tuesday night in a suicide bombing attack in Israel's coastal town of Rishon Letzion, Israel TV reported.
The explosion occurred at around 23:15 local time (2015 GMT) at a nightclub on Sakharov Street in the town's new industrial zone, according to the report.
"We know of an explosion in a building...a nightclub in which there was apparently a large number of people," a police officer was quoted as saying, adding, "We are still checking the cause of the blast."
There is no organization claiming responsibility for the attack, which shadowed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's ongoing meeting with U.S. President George Bush in Washington.
Sharon's advisers have been reportedly informed of the suicide bombing attack, and are deliberating whether to interrupt Sharon's meeting with Bush to tell them about the explosion.
