Brazilian international striker Ronaldo Nazario de Lima, said that he was confident about the prospect of the Brazil national soccer team at this summer's Korea-Japan 2002 World Cup finals, thinking that nobody "has as many good quality players as Brazil."

Ronaldo (Inter Milan) told Brazilian magazine Carta Capital, although Brazil is not among the favorites, the national team " will play an excellent World Cup."

Brazil does not even appear among the favorites of Ronaldo himself, who pointed France, Argentina and Italy, in this order as the most important protagonists.

Personally, he said he would be in better conditions at this coming tournament, to be co-hosted by South Korea and Japan, than in France 1998, where he suffered from strange convulsions prior to the final, something still generating polemics in Brazil.

Ronaldo is one of the certain names in the roster of coach Luiz F. Scolari.

Brazil shares Group C with Turkey, China and Costa Rica in the World Cup finals which will run from May 31-June 30.
