Six Palestinians wanted by Israel were handed over to US and British experts in the West Bank city of Ramallah Wednesday night, Palestinian sources said.
The six Palestinians, holed up with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in his Ramallah compound, will be sent to a Palestinian jail in the West Bank city of Jericho under the international supervision.
The transfer, hours after a final deal was reached, would pave the way for Arafat to leave the compound where he has been confined since Israel launched massive military operations in the West Bank on March 29.
The six Palestinians wanted by Israel are Foaud Shobaki, a senior Palestinian financial official, Ahmad Sa'adat, chairman of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and four Palestinians who were recently convicted by a Palestinian court inside Arafat's compound of being involved in the murder of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze'evi last October.
