Initial results of Pakistan's Presidential Referendum held on Tuesday are in favor of President Pervez Musharraf.

According to the announcement of the Election Commission of Pakistan, till 02:00 hours on Wednesday, the position is:

In Punjab province the results received are: 183,561 votes in " yes" and 2,821 votes in "no". Hence, the votes cast in support to Musharraf come to 98 percent and those against him figure at 2 percent.

In Sindh province 89,586 votes in "yes" and 970 are in "no". Hence, the votes cast in "yes" are 99 percent and those in "no" come to only 1 percent.

In Northwest Frontier province, 116,832 votes are in "yes" and 6,156 votes are in "no". Hence, 95 percent are in support and 5 percent are in "no".

In Balochistan province, 127,319 are in "yes" and 245 in "no". Hence those in support come to 98 percent and those against figure at 2 percent.
