China Passes Workforce Protection Against Toxic Substances

Premier Zhu Rongji presided over the 57th executive meeting of the State Council on Tuesday, which adopted in principle a draft regulation protecting workers from toxic substances.

Premier Zhu Rongji presided over the 57th executive meeting of the State Council on Tuesday, which adopted in principle a draft regulation protecting workers from toxic substances.

The meeting held that it was vital to implement the regulation, in a bid to prevent, control and erase the risks of toxic substances in the workplace.

The meeting also decided that the revised regulation be issued by the State Council.
