Four people were shot to death, and 11 others were wounded as rival motorcycle gangs clashed on Saturday at a casino in Laughlin, Nevada State, U.S. law enforcement officials said.
According to Larry Tunforss, a spokesman for the Bullhead City Fire Department in Arizona, the shooting occurred at 2:13 a.m. local time at the casino as the town was celebrating the 20th anniversary of the "River Run," a large gathering of motorcycle clubs that brought up to 80,000 people into the gambling resort this weekend.
Tunforss said the four killed were all men, and none was an employee of the casino. Two men identified as shooters were among the wounded. The cause of the clash was not known.
Bullhead City, just across the Colorado River from Laughlin, responded first to the incident.
Nevada state police spokesman Allan Davidson said police had taken 100 people into custody for questioning after the casino incident.
Laughlin, a town of 8,000 which is located about 100 kilometers southeast of Las Vegas near the Arizona border, was shut down while investigators looked for more suspects, Davidson said.
