China, Thailand to jointly Organize Asian Agricultural Expo
The People's Republic of China and Thailand will join forces to organize an Asian agricultural expo this year, inviting many countries to take part in the event,according to a report of the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry available Friday in Bangkok.

Sitthi Boonyarataphlin, deputy permanent secretary for agriculture and cooperatives, was quoted as saying that the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry would cooperate with the Chinese Agriculture Ministry in organizing the Asian InternationalAgriculture Expo in October.
"The Asian International Agriculture Expo will be held between October 26 and 29 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Center in Nonthaburi province. Agricultural products from various Asian countries will be displayed at the four-day fair", he stated.
Hundreds of firms from 11 Asian countries were expected to takepart in the regional agricultural expo, Sitthi estimated.
Producers and exporters of agricultural products could take theopportunity to meet, exchange ideas and experiences, and even clinch trade deals, he pointed out.
The event would, particularly, help open new market channels for Thai exporters of farm products and machines used in the agricultural sector, the senior official said.
