Sudanese Vice President Ali Ousman Mohammed on Monday hailed the just-declared Ethio-Eritrean border decision, saying the decision was not only important for the two countries but also for the Horn of Africa to promote peace and stability.
Speaking to reporters upon his arrival here, Ali Ousman said the Sudanese people and government were pleased with the fair decision of the Border Commission.
The four-day official visit of the Sudanese vice president was believed to be instrumental in strengthening the cooperation between the two countries particularly in the economy, politics, culture and trade sectors, among others, said the state-run news agency.
During the visit, the Sudanese delegation would deliberate with the Ethiopian side on ways that could facilitate implementation of the various cooperation agreements reached earlier between the two countries and on other issues of mutual concern.
