Niger Severs Diplomatic Relations with Israel

The government of Niger announced on Sunday that it severed the diplomatic relations with Israel, according to a BBC report Monday.

The government of Niger announced on Sunday that it severed the diplomatic relations with Israel, according to a BBC report Monday.

At this grave moment, the Nigerien government has ceased to have diplomatic relations with Israel, said the report.

As for the reason, the report said that the government of the west African country has blamed the Israeli government for the current conflict between Israelis and the Palestinians.

Niger restored diplomatic ties with Israel in 1996 after cutting them in 1973 following the Arab-Israeli war.
