China's prestigious Tsinghua University established a journalism and communication school Sunday with the aim of attracting more talents in the fields of international communication, film and TV communication, new media communication and media management strategies.
China's prestigious Tsinghua University established a journalism and communication school Sunday with the aim of attracting more talents in the fields of journalism and communication.
Fan Jingyi, former editor-in-chief with the "People's Daily" was appointed to the position of dean.
The school will be divided into four areas of research which will concentrate on international communication, film and TV communication, new media communication and media management strategies.
The school will take advantage of the university's academic resources and work together with domestic and overseas counterparts to nurture qualified journalists with a grasp of basic theories and skills of news reporting and communication, according to sources with the university.
