Although China's national soccer team's head coach Bora Milutinovic had announced a list for the national team four days ago, he insisted that the current team is not the final squad for the World Cup finals.

His decision to exclude striker Xie Hui and midfielder Shen Si from the line-up has aroused a nationwide backfire. He had explained that both are not good at defending.

"The current 25-strong national team is not the final one for the World Cup," the globe-trotting coach said here on Friday, when the national team began their practice in the training camp Friday in Kunming.

"Xie and Shen had contributed a lot to the national team in the past. So it's hard for a coach to pick up or drop anyone at such an important moment," he admitted. "But I would not allow emotion affect my judgement," he said.

Milutinovic said that injuries are not the main concern for him now. "So long as no more players get injured before the World Cup matches start, the existing injuries would not bring any major problems to the team," he added.
