DPRK Leader to Visit Russia
Kim Jong Il, the top leader of theDemocratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), who made a 24-day trip across Russia last summer, plans to visit Russia's Far East this year, a senior Russian official said in Moscow April 19.

Konstantin Pulikovsky, Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, said Kim had expressed a desire to visit Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the Itar-tass newsagency reported.
Kim wants to make the trip "to learn about the experience in the field of self-government and economic reforms," the agency quoted Pulikovsky as saying. He said Kim wanted to make the trip before the end of the year, but no exact date has been set yet.
