Hong Kong's public support accountability system, said Tung Chee Hwa, the chief executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Friday.

"I first articulated about the accountability system two years ago and I repeated it during the Policy Address last year. We have listened very carefully to the views of the public and I would have thought that the public at large support the accountability system," Tung said in response to question raised by a reporter.

Tung attended a media session after officiating at the opening ceremony of the Buddhist Po Kwong School's new campus in Fanling.
