The number of working women in Taipei hits record in February, as the ratio of female employees accounted for 45.8 percent of the city's total workforce of 1.12 million that month, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
The number of working women in Taipei hits record in February, as the ratio of female employees accounted for 45.8 percent of the city's total workforce of 1.12 million that month, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Statistics showed that most women work as personal assistants, office workers, service providers and vendors.
The growing number of working women in Taipei, Taiwan's largest city, was attributed to the recent economic recession which has prompted many women to seek jobs as their male household providers are unemployed.
