Picture Exhibition Marks China-Japan Ties

A picture exhibition featuring the friendship between China and Japan opened in Beijing on Wednesday.

A picture exhibition featuring the friendship between China and Japan opened in Beijing on Wednesday.

Displayed are some 200 paintings and photographs, depicting the friendly communications between China and Japan in language, religion, architecture, medicine and tea ceremonies.

Jointly organized by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Japan's International Society of Education Information, the event marks the 30th anniversary of the normalization of the Sino-Japanese relations.

The organizers said, by reflecting on the past they hope to promote friendly contacts between the two countries and establish mutual understanding and trust.
