Suspected Suicide-Murder Killed 3 at U.S. Clinic

Two women were shot dead and a third seriously wounded Monday by a male nurse who committed suicide after the killings at a medical clinic in the east of Los Angeles.

Two women were shot dead and a third seriously wounded Monday by a male nurse who committed suicide after the killings at a medical clinic in the east of Los Angeles.

The East Los Angeles police station was alerted at 1:23 p.m. local time (2023 GMT) when somebody called to report that shots were fired at the Superior Medical Clinic, 5724 E. Olympic Blvrd.

A police spokeswoman told local TV that the third woman taken to a hospital was listed as "death imminent." The identities of the two victims and the male nurse were not immediately disclosed.

The cause of the killings was under investigation, but police said it appeared to be a case of murder-suicide.
