Venezuelan President Calls for Dialogue

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called on various sectors of the society on Monday to participate in a dialogue on the problems that confront the country.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called on various sectors of the society on Monday to participate in a dialogue on the problems that confront the country.

The president, who returned to power Sunday after being brieflyousted in a two-day military coup, said a government advisory council will start preparing for such a dialogue.

"I'm calling everyone, business leaders, political parties, thechurch, the heads of communication media, to dialogue," Chavez said at the beginning of a press conference at the presidential palace.
