Jiang Zemin Expresses Condolence Over Victims of Air China Crash
Chinese President Jiang Zemin on Monday expressed condolence over the losses of lives in the crash of the Air China Flight 129 in the South Korean city of Busan, and asked relevant departments to properly deal with the aftermath of the accident.

Jiang, who is on a state visit to Nigeria, demanded relevant authorities make all-out rescue efforts and extended deep sympathy to families of the victims.
Nigeria is the third leg of Jiang's two-week five-nation trip, which will also take him to Tunisia and Iran. Jiang has just concluded his state visit to Germany and Libya, and is scheduled to leave for Tunisia on Tuesday.
An Air China Boeing 767-200 passenger plane, with 166 people on board, crashed into an apartment building Monday near Pusan airport amid foggy weather and poor visibility. The number of survivors from the aviation accident stood at 49 so far.
