Chinese Vice-Premier Meets EU Commissioner

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing met with Erkki Liikanen, member of the Commission of the European Union (EU), in the Great Hall of the People here Saturday.

Chinese Vice-Premier Li Lanqing met with Erkki Liikanen, member of the Commission of the European Union (EU), in the Great Hall of the People here Saturday.

Liikanen is in charge of the information society and enterprise affairs under the EU Commission.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on Sino- European relations and strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of information and telecommunication technology.

Liikanen has come to China to attend a China-European forum on cooperation in information society at the invitation of the Chinese government.
