A bomb blast near a school in northwestern Nepal on Saturday killed three children and injured four others, according to the police of Nepal.
The blast followed near simultaneous attacks by anti-government guerrillas Thursday night on towns in western Nepal that left at least 54 people dead.
The powerful blast happened near a school in a town some 600 kilometers northwest of Katmandu, but no other details were available.
The anti-government guerrillas did not claim responsibility for the explosion though they in their attacks Thursday night killed nearly 50 police officers and six civilians.
Security officials patrolling the border areas, however, disclosed to the press that nearly 100 people were killed in the attacks.
