MIG-29 Crashes, Killing Pilot in South India

A Mig-29 jet fighter belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed and exploded into flames on Thursday, killing an pilot in India's south state of Karnataka, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

A Mig-29 jet fighter belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed and exploded into flames on Thursday, killing an pilot in India's south state of Karnataka, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

The aircraft was on a flight from the coastal city of Goa to Karwar in the Uttara Kannada district of the state, the PTI said, quoting local police.

The body of the pilot was completely burnt and the flight recorder had been found and sent to the air force station in Karwar, the police added.
