Three Agreements Signed Between Cambodia and India

The governments of Cambodia andIndia signed three agreements on cooperation between the two nations Tuesday evening at the Council of Ministers here.

The governments of Cambodia andIndia signed three agreements on cooperation between the two nations Tuesday evening at the Council of Ministers here.

With the presence of visiting Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Hun Sen, government officials of the two nations signed an agreement on direct flights between the two countries; an agreement on renovation of Ta Prohm temple in the Angkor Wat complex; and an agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders.

The two prime ministers held talks before signing the agreements, during which they exchanged views on economic cooperation between the two nations and other issues of common interest.

Vajpayee arrived here for a 3-day official visit to Cambodia onTuesday afternoon, at the invitation of Prime Minister Hun Sen.
