A reception was held Monday in Beijing to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Armenia.
Addressing the event, Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the reception's host, said the two countries cherished a long history of friendship, and the past 10 years had seen smooth development of bilateral ties, frequent exchanges of high-level visits, increasing understanding and friendship and fruitful cooperation in all spheres.
Armenian ambassador to China Vasili Ghazaryan said that since Armenia and China established diplomatic ties, the two nations hadrecorded great progress in political, economic, technological and cultural exchanges and cooperation, adding that Armenia attached great significance to developing friendly and cooperative ties with China.
Wan Guoquan, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, also attended the reception.
