China to Announce Squad for World Cup Finals on May 20

China will announce a 23-member squad for the 2002 World Cup finals on May 20. Zhu Heyuan, director of national team bureau of the Chinese Football Association, said the Chinese team will start training on April 15 in Kunming camp of Yunnan province. The final squad will be decided among players in the training camp.

China will announce a 23-member squad for the 2002 World Cup finals on May 20, top official said on Friday.

Zhu Heyuan, director of national team bureau of the Chinese Football Association, said the Chinese team will start training on April 15 in Kunming camp of Yunnan province. The final squad will be decided among players in the training camp.

China will play a series of warm-up matches in April and May -- against South Korea on April 27, Uruguay on May 16, Dutch club Eindhoven on May 19, Ecuador on May 22 and against Portugal on May 25.

The national team will fly to South Korea for the World Cup finals on May 26.
