Tunisia Expects President Jiang's Upcoming Visit
Chinese President Jiang Zemin's forthcoming visit to Tunisia will promote the relations between Tunisia and China, and the Tunisian people are looking forward to the visit.

Salah Hamdi, Tunisian ambassador to China, made the remarks in Beijing in a recent interview with Xinhua.
Noting that President Jiang has been invited to Tunisia by President Ben Ali, he said Jiang's visit to Tunisia shows that theleaders of both countries are dedicated to the continuous development of bilateral ties.
The friendship between the people of the two countries has beendeveloping on the basis of mutual understanding and trust, and bilateral cooperation in the political, cultural, scientific, art and economic fields has expanded over the past decade, he added.
He stressed that furthering relations between Tunisia and Chinashould be based on the economic partnership. Many positive factorshave improved economic cooperation since the two countries adoptedthe opening-up policy and entered the World Trade Organization.
Salah said that the two countries are expected to sign agreements on avoidance of dual tax collection, investment and tourism cooperation.
Moreover, during his tenure as Tunisian ambassador to China, hesaid he is honored by President Jiang's proposed Tunisian visit, and hopes that it will be crowned with success.
