China, who qualified for the 2002 World Cup finals, handed out its first-ever World Cup lottery in 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions around the country.

The sale of set tickets will start on Friday, while that of the lottery ticket for individual match is set during the World Cup finals in Japan and South Korea from May 31-June 30.
All the sixteen matches of the first round of the World Cup finals are included in the special lottery.
Regular soccer lotteries in China have sold to 3.76 billion RMB (about 450 million U.S. dollars).
