The Kong Koh bridge in southwestern
Cambodia
has been completed and opened to traffic on Thursday.
Presiding over the inauguration ceremony of the bridge Thursday in Koh Kong, Prime Minister Hun Sen said the completion of the bridge will benefit the economic development in Koh Kong area as well as other parts of Cambodia.
He also believed that the bridge can promote cooperation with
Thailand
in the field of trade, tourism, energy and transportation as it links with the border area of Thailand.
The construction of the 1,900 meters long bridge, the longest in Cambodia so far, cost 7.2 million U. S. dollars.
